Within A Mother's Arms Breastfeeding Support Services
Breastfeeding is often thought of as being natural and instinctual and therefore easy or simple. However in the early weeks nothing could be farther from the truth for most moms. Breastfeeding is often painful, overwhelming and very demanding of a new mom recovering from delivery and who is sleep deprived.
I believe it is these challenges and the beauty of nurturing a child's mind, body & spirit through breastfeeding that can bring about an awesome feeling of empowerment for a woman who succeeds at meeting her breastfeeding goals.
It is for these reasons and more that I established Within A Mother's Arms in 2005. My goal for Within A Mother's Arms is to provide breastfeeding families with the tools they need to meet their breastfeeding goals. Whether you need answers to breastfeeding questions, counseling for breastfeeding concerns, hands-on assistance or encouragement I am here to help.
Over my years as a lactation consultant and mom/baby nurse, I've heard many times "Will you come home with me?" or "Do you make house calls?". Often these comments stem from inexperience and nervousness about the challenges of being new parents; however it is these same concerns that can be overcome with assistance from a professional during the early weeks after delivery. So Within A Mother's Arms is now offering Newborn Care Assistance!! The goal of providing newborn care assistance is to allow both parents to get better sleep at night so they feel more physically and mentally prepared to care for their newborn during the day. This is done by having the support of a lactation consultant and RN to assist with feedings and baby cares along with light laundry and meals while you sleep so you have less to worry about during the day.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about the breastfeeding support services offered through Within A Mother's Arms.
Sincerely,
Debbie
